Federal police holds a pickpocket at Berlin Central Station

In a true thriller at Berlin Central Station, a brazen theft occurred on Monday! A 24-year-old Romanian presented the police with a tricky task when he stole the wallet in the middle of an unsuspecting 61-year-old woman in the middle of the day. The incident happened at around 11:40 a.m. and in the hustle and bustle of the station, the crime would have been almost unnoticed, but the lady quickly noticed that her wallet was missing and immediately alerted the federal police.

The officers were immediately on hand and only needed a few hours to grasp the perpetrator. Fortunately, the surveillance cameras were on their side for once! The videos showed a crystal -clear picture that opened the door to a quick search. Civilian emergency services quickly found the culprit at the subway stop Unter den Linden, where he was already lurking on discovery.

The detection of the crime

But the arrest was not the end of the story! When the man searched, the police found a significant amount of cash - a whopping 525 euros! But be careful: 390 euros of it probably come directly from the robbery on the 61-year-old. The money was secured by the emergency services.

In order to make the matter even hotter, the federal police also obtained references to further attempted pick -up steels at the main train station from the evaluation of other video images. The perpetrator, already known to the law enforcement authorities, is now suspected of several offenses.

judiciary hits

The events took a dramatic turn on Tuesday: a judge ordered custody against the 24-year-old! This makes it clear that the judiciary will not hesitate to set a clear sign in the event of this pickpocket.

The action throws a bright light on the dark side of the big city and the dangers that can lurk on us even in everyday situations. The federal police warn all citizens to always be vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately.
