Yesterday evening Berlin became the scene of a glamorous celebration, which took place in particular at the Bertelsmann representative at the ambience! The first Brigitte Awards were awarded, and with a glamorous contingent! Around 180 invited guests from business, politics and show business were present to honor the remarkable women who inspire with their tireless efforts and personality.

moderated by the popular Katrin Bauerfeind, awarded the award as part of the solemn 70th Brigitte Jubiläum Women who show outstanding achievements in different categories. Among the prominent guests were also greats such as Iris Berben and Florence Kasumba, who made the event an unforgettable event!

The glamorous evening culminated with the honor of Margot Friedländer , an inspiring Holocaust survivor who does not get tired at the age of 102 for humanity and tolerance. Her tireless commitment to the culture of remembrance was recognized with an honorary award, presented by the well -known actress Iris Berben. Friedländer continues to attend schools, and their urgent appeal that historical atrocities must never repeat themselves!

But that wasn't everything! Other remarkable women were also awarded:

  • category impulse: Kristina Hänel - this brave doctor has been active since the 1980s and has shown the courage to fight for the right to abortion, despite massive resistance and a conviction that she stimulated for public discussion about the controversial § 219a. It was a first step in the lifting of this law in the summer of 2022!
  • Category Next Generation: Noour Idelbi - At the age of only 16, she developed the "Safespace" app to protect women on their way home. This innovative app could revolutionize women's feeling of security in the digital world!
  • Category Thinker: Ina Schlie - she launched the "EncourageVentures" initiative to support women in the start -up scene. This sets an important sign of equality in entrepreneurship!
  • category plain text: Christina Clemm - This committed lawyer has been fighting sexual violence for years and gives women the voice they need to free themselves from an often dangerous reality!
  • category Shero: Homa Abass - it is committed to better living conditions for women and children in Afghanistan. Their tireless efforts show how women can donate hope even in times of crisis!

An evening full of emotions, courage and inspiration - Brigitte Award 2024 was a festival of the empowerment and appreciation! The sponsors of the evening, including big names such as Mercedes-Benz and Lancôme, underline the important commitment to women's rights in Germany.
