Yesterday evening, around 6:20 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred in Tempelhofer Feld! A 29-year-old cyclist who was riding his racing bike collided with a three-year-old child who was sitting on the grass with his parents and suddenly entered the bike path. The little boy sustained head injuries and was immediately taken to hospital for inpatient treatment.
The police have taken over the investigation. The traffic offenses department of Police Directorate 4 (South) is now investigating the exact circumstances of the tragic incident. The shock is deep – for both the parents and the cyclist.
