In a terrifying traffic accident in Reinickendorf, a young person and a small child were injured yesterday. At lunchtime, around 1:15 p.m., a 70-year-old driver waited at the Red traffic light at the Aroser Allee corner Gotthardstrasse. When the traffic light switched to green, both you and a line bus on line 120 started. At the same time, a 14-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister, despite the red pedestrian light, crossed the road on an e-scooter and almost got into a horrendous collision by bus.
The brave bus driver and the boy were just able to avoid a crash with the regular bus, but then there was a tragedy: the e-scooter was hit head-on by the 70-year-old car. While the 14-year-old was able to jump off on the impact, his sister was hit and fell to the ground. Both children were hospitalized - the boy with grazes, the girl with head injuries. Fortunately, there is currently no danger to life. The police have now started the investigation and examined the exact circumstances of the accident.
