Ambulance bounces with Porsche: shock in Tiergarten!

On Wednesday night it spectacularly crashed in the Berlin Tiergarten! An ambulance turned against the red light of the traffic light, while the driver of a Porsche got green. The 34-year-old paramedic started crossing Potsdamer Straße with flashing lights and Martinshorn around midnight. Witnesses report that he previously reduced his speed before he drove into the intersection despite red. The 21-year-old Porsche driver, who drove into the intersection at green, could not brake in time and crashed into the ambulance with full force.

The impact was violent! The Porsche was thrown against a traffic light mast by the collision. Fortunately, everyone involved was only slightly injured. The Porsche driver was taken to a hospital while his passenger rejected a treatment on site. The ambulance driver and his 45-year-old colleague also had to go to the hospital, but could be released after a short time. Both vehicles are now scrap and have been towed.
