Pankow: Bistro employees threatened with a gun – police strike!
There was a dramatic incident in Pankow last night around 11:30 p.m.! A heated argument between a 37-year-old and a 52-year-old in a bistro on Florastraße escalated when the latter threatened the 23-year-old employee with a gun. After the threatening situation, the two men fled, but the police were not long in coming.
A little later, the 52-year-old was caught in a car on Grunowstrasse. No weapon was found when he was arrested, but his breath alcohol level was around 0.8 per mille and he did not have a valid driver's license. He was released after brief police treatment. A short time later, the officers managed to catch the 37-year-old in a bar on Berliner Strasse. There the police found a gas pressure weapon, which was confiscated. After being processed for identification purposes, this suspect was also released. The investigation is ongoing and has been taken over by a special commissioner from Police Directorate 1 (North).
