Motorcyclist races into traffic control – police officer injured!

In a dramatic incident in Staaken yesterday, a police officer was injured during a traffic stop. At around 4:15 p.m., the emergency services were checking two vehicles on Brunsbütteler Damm when a motorcyclist passed the checkpoint at excessive speed and making loud engine noises. The driver turned around after a short time and raced towards the police officers again, ignoring several stop signals and driving past an officer at full speed. He hit the police officer on the left side of his body.

The injured officer complained of pain in his hand and knee but was able to continue his duties. The motorcyclist escaped undetected, despite an immediate search in the area. The police have taken over investigations into dangerous interference with road traffic and other offenses. The incident highlights the dangers officers face during their daily work.
