In a shocking incident in Tempelhof, a 62-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. At around 3:15 p.m. she raced in the parking lot of a supermarket on Tempelhofer Damm, first ramming a bicycle rack with a bike and then thundering into a wall. The disaster began when their car crashed through the supermarket's entrance and exit door, which was torn from its anchorage and fell on the foot of a 46-year-old man.
The driver suffered head and upper body injuries, while her 70-year-old passenger struggled with leg and neck pain. Rescue workers rushed to the scene and took the driver to hospital for outpatient treatment. The two men on site decided to seek medical care themselves if necessary. The police have taken over the investigation into the terrible incident.
