Living in the trailer park in Berlin: Nadja's history and the conditions in the illegal trailer park!

According to a report by www.tagesspiegel.de, the Berliner Nadja had to flee her dog Zeus in front of her violent partner from Bavaria a year ago and found supposed accommodation in a trailer park in Treptow-Köpenick. But the "nice apartment" turned out to be a container and the system as a trailer park by Ulrich Ziegler. The electricity was parked due to manipulation and the living usage permit of the trailer park was withdrawn. The hygienic conditions and the rat infestation were catastrophic and there was an immediate risk to the residents.

The district office and various social institutions were in conversation with the residents and the owner and tried to solve solutions. But on Monday the power supply of the trailer park was switched off due to manipulated meter systems. A flash evacuation was avoided and the residents are gradually conveyed in replacement accommodations. The trailer park is said to be cleared by the end of November.

In the meantime, the relocated residents have a fixed roof over their heads for the time being, and the district office tries to convey them to an apartment or furnishings. The social councilor hopes that many of the remaining residents will be willing to move, and Nadja hopes to find their own apartment in Berlin.

A situation like that of Nadja shows the drastic effects of the lack of housing in Berlin, especially for people with pets and difficult living conditions. It also illustrates the danger of illegal accommodations and the responsibility of the property owners for the security and living conditions of their residents.
