World Heritage Site: Berlin celebrates the UNESCO World Heritage Day 2025!
Berlin, Deutschland - On May 26, 2025, the preparations for the upcoming UNESCO World Heritage Day, which will take place on June 1, 2025, approach the climax. Berlin will participate in this important event with a versatile program that includes all three of its world heritage sites: the Museum Island Berlin, the settlements of Berlin Modernity and the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin. It is particularly worth mentioning that the castles and gardens of Potsdam and Berlin, which have been a world heritage since 1990, give special insights. A special event is the nationwide opening in Hildesheim, where some UNESCO World Heritage Sites are also located.
For the period from April 23 to 25, an annual conference of German World Heritage Sites takes place in Darmstadt and at the Messel pit, in which the focus is on maintaining and mediating the world heritage. In addition, the role of the world heritage is highlighted as a cultural treasure at ITB Berlin, which takes place from March 4 to 6, 2025.
