Diverse events in the heart of Berlin: culture for everyone!
On October 11, 2025, there will be numerous events at the Maria Rimkus House in Berlin that offer an excellent opportunity to actively spend your free time and exchange ideas with others. The house, which is located directly on a small hill next to the community park, shines in new splendor after extensive renovation work. With facilities that include two group rooms, a larger hall and a separate pottery studio, the facility is also easily accessible for wheelchair users. The team led by Ms. Reinfeld is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors.
The upcoming events in the Maria Rimkus House are diverse and aimed at a broad audience. An accordion concert with Galyna Classe took place on October 7, 2025. The positive reactions from visitors show that cultural events are very well received. A concert with Alf Weiss is planned for October 14th, followed by a bingo event on October 16th. Further highlights include the vernissage of the exhibition “Sight – Outlook – Perspective” on October 21st and a lecture on the topic “What to do if you need care?” on October 22nd. These events not only provide entertainment, but also valuable information for participants.
Cultural offerings in focus
However, the Maria Rimkus House does not only offer special events. It is also known for weekly activities such as dance afternoons and language courses. The times are ideal for seniors and others interested in socializing. A varied creative offering in the form of watercolor painting and board games such as Canasta and Scrabble rounds off the program. Visitors are invited to bring in their wishes and suggestions for community design, which makes the house a lively meeting place.
Particular attention is also paid to the collaboration with KulturLeben Berlin. This organization has been providing free, unsold cultural spaces to low-income people for 15 years and offers a variety of cultural experiences, including concerts, theater and exhibitions. From March 2025, the municipal meeting places in Pankow will be available as official registration points for this offer. People with a monthly net income of a maximum of 1,100 euros or those who receive state transfer benefits can register without any problems.
