After a chase, police officers arrested a 27-year-old in Marzahn-Hellersdorf on Tuesday evening. The driver was under the influence of drugs and had neither a driver's license nor liability insurance. In addition, his car wore a manipulated registration seal.
The police noticed this at around 6 p.m. on Alte Hellersdorfer Straße and wanted to control the driver. When an official opened the driver's door, the 27-year-old drove backwards and crashed into the police parked. He then fled with significantly excessive speed and an outer door. Finally he left the vehicle on Teupitzer Straße and continued his escape on foot. It was finally arrested on Stendaler Strasse. Because of his resistance, the policemen used irritant gas.
