Telekom has raised the mobile phone supply in the Wartburg district to a new level in an exciting step! In just two months, two locations with LTE technology were upgraded. This improvement not only means a stronger mobile network, but also a massive increase in the bandwidth that is available to users. Users in the cities of Gerstungen and subbreizbach can look forward to a noticeable improvement. Even the reception in buildings is now considerably better!

The location in Gerstungen also has a key role-it ensures that drivers along the A4 motorway and rail travelers are now better supplied on the Fulda-Erfurt route. A real win for everyone who is on the road!

unstoppable bandwidth requirement

"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," emphasizes Georg von Wagner, the company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom. That means the time of hesitant developments is over!

Now the budget cover in the Wartburg district is an impressive 97 percent! Telekom already operates 60 locations in the region in total. And that is only the beginning: 27 new locations should be added by 2026 and on 19 existing radio masts there are extensions with LTE or even state -of -the -art 5G!

cooperation for further growth

But growth brings hurdles. Telekom relies on cooperation with the municipalities and property owners. Anyone who can provide an area for a new building location is the right place in the German radio tower. There is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to make some space available and want to participate in the technical revolution.

currently, Telekom already operates more than 36,000 mobile phone locations in Germany and builds around 1,500 new ones every year. Mobile communications are not only modernized in time, but also continuously expanded!
