A dark shadow hovers over Germany! The mysterious PFAS chemicals, known as eternal drives, infiltrate our everyday life. They are almost everywhere - not even our children are spared from them! The gloomy companions of this invisible danger are highly questionable health risks such as cancer, organ damage and alarming high miscarriages. A wake -up call for everyone! The BUND for the Environment and Nature Conservation Germany (BUND) now draws the emergency brake and calls for action!
On Tuesday, October 8th, the federal government will publish the terrifying results of a comprehensive blood test. Celebrities like the doctor and television star Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen and the BUND board are among the tested. This is accompanied by an action-packed petition that Health Minister Karl Lauterbach asks to actively work for an EU-wide prohibition of these dangerous chemicals. Another highlight: a representative survey to hire the population about the planned PFAS ban-a hot topic that moves many!

pfas are not just any chemical. They do not exist in nature, are extremely difficult to eliminate and remain in our environment forever. They spread everywhere in their production and disposal: in the air, in water and in the ground - and thus also on our plates! The resulting health risk is enormous and alarming. Neither nature nor our body can escape these contaminants.
Currently, fewer than 20 of the incredible over 10,000 existing PFAS chemicals are regulated-a scandalous number! The European chemical agency has taken action to take measures, but the influential chemistry industry has strong pressure. An immediate and comprehensive exit from Pfas is essential to protect the citizens from the threat!
The time to act is now!
Now, more than ever, it is important that we stand together as a society! The federal government publishes tips on how we can avoid PFAs in our own kitchen, because everyone can make a contribution!
