Environmental organization warns: Tax privileges for e-fuel endanger climate protection!

Excetement in the environmental scene! The German Environmental Aid (DUH) is alarm - and for good reason! A new law, which was discarded by the Ministry of Finance in Berlin, could tear around the rudder vigorously in climate protection. It is about the so-called "e-fuel-only" vehicles, which are absolutely identical to the basic equipment with conventional petrol or diesel cars. Incomprehensible, because these vehicles are not even able to be refueled exclusively with environmentally friendly e-fuel!

Imagine: From 2031, these so-called "pseudo-e-fuel vehicles" could be better better in Germany than pure electric vehicles! The subsidies for electrical cars run out in 2030-and what comes? The "E-Fuel-Only" carts benefit from tax discounts, while electric cars are left left! Jürgen Resch, the federal manager of the DUH, breaks out his displeasure: "The draft of the Ministry of Finance is a general attack on climate protection in the traffic sector!"

dirty vehicles are rewarded!

Resch aims directly at the FDP finance minister Christian Lindner, the self-proclaimed “Porsche Minister”, who apparently has no interest in reducing the climate-damaging diesel and petrol wasters to a minimum. Even more! From 2031, these "dirty" cars are to be treated even better than their more environmentally friendly successors. Resch calls on the traffic light coalition consisting of the SPD and the Greens, to stop these absurd plans.

What are the desired tax privileges? A pretty package of discounts, which includes practically a full liberation from the vehicle tax as well as additional tax spurks in trade tax and company car taxation from 2030. A true festival for those who rely on conventional drives!

The call to the turn

And now it gets really explosive: The DUH not only vehemently criticizes the plans, but also points out that the additional costs for the expensive and inefficient e-fuel fuel should be borne by all of us as taxpayers! Who can stay calm? Resch cannot be put off and urges not to simply accept the current regulations.

The question remains: Is that the way that Germany wants to take in the fight against climate change? The opponents of the new regulation agree: Here it takes quick action and clear decisions in order not to further endanger climate protection in the traffic sector.
