Future of the Plänterwald district: Invitation to the citizens' event on October 24th

Plänterwald in the rise! The district of Treptow-Köpenick is planning the large transformation of this popular residential area! New residential offers, social infrastructure and inviting green areas are to be created that make life even more livable here. An ambitious goal that the district has been pursuing since August 2024 by taking a close look at all aspects of the neighborhood. But what does that mean specifically? Ms. Dr. Claudia Leistner, the committed head of the Department for Urban Development, Streets, Green Spaces and the Environment, is at the forefront. She urgently explains: "My goal is to maintain allotments, not to take advantage of and to develop necessary infrastructure on other areas." A clear announcement!

But that's not all! To ensure that all voices are heard, a public event will take place! On October 24, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Treptow town hall, the neighborhood will be informed about the future of the Plänterwald. The event has already made waves and the interest is huge! But be careful: the number of places is limited for fire protection reasons! The district therefore calls on all interested groups to register with a maximum of three representatives - time is pushing!

A look at the agenda

The event promises an exciting agenda! The following is on the program:

  • 1. Welcome
  • 2. Presentation of the project (framework conditions, occasion, goal)
  • 3. Specialist lectures
  • 4. Pause
  • 5. Exchange at the topic stations (work phase)
  • 6. Presentation of the work results from the topic stations
  • 7. Farewell

The event will cover the entire examination room - but there will be no individual discussion on individual areas, given the size of the area. A clear focus is required!
