First colonia festival in the ColoniaPark: a festival for the neighborhood

Am Samstag, den 13. Juli, findet im Coloniapark das erste Coloniafest statt, zu dem BENN Altglienicke und der Kiezbund Altglienicke herzlich einladen. Die Idee für das Fest entstand aus Gesprächen mit der Nachbarschaft, die sich eine Belebung des öffentlichen Raumes und generationenübergreifende Begegnungen wünschte. On Saturday, July 13th, the first colonia festival takes place in the ColoniaPark, to which Benn Altglienicke and the Kiezbund Altglienicke cordially invite. The idea for the festival came from conversations with the neighborhood, which wanted a revival of public space and cross -generational encounters.

The ColoniaPark, which is located in the center of Altglienicke, will offer a varied program for young and old on the festival day from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Visitors can look forward to musical performances, culinary delights and numerous activities for children and families. The official opening of the festival at 2:00 p.m. will take place by the district mayor Oliver Igel. The “Berlin develops new neighborhoods” program (Benn) is carried out by the Senate for Urban Development, Building and Living in cooperation with the Treptow-Köpenick district. Benn Altglienicke is accompanied by the social space -oriented planning coordination (SPK) of the district office.

The ColoniaPark is a popular meeting place for the residents of Altglienickes and offers space for relaxation and leisure activities. Through the colonia festival, the park is now also used as an event location for community celebrations and encounters. With a wide range for all ages, the festival helps to strengthen social interaction in the neighborhood and to promote the neighborhood.
