Citizens' meeting: Distribute funds for Kiezkassen in Johannisthal

On May 7, 2024 at 6 p.m., a citizens' meeting will take place in the former town hall of Johannisthal, Sterndamm 102, 12487 Berlin, at which the district office Treptow-Köpenick provides funds for the Kiezkassen in all district regions. These funds are intended to promote projects that strengthen the cohesion in the neighborhood, support neighborhoods or improve the living environment. These include self-help and neighborhood projects, planting campaigns, hopes, neighborhood festivals, street parties, lecture events or material for citizen information.

This year, € 7,200 is available for the Johannisthal district region. Citizens and interested actors are invited to have a say in the use of these funds. At the citizens' meeting on May 7th, 2024, the submitted proposals will be presented, advised and, if necessary, decided.

Project ideas can be submitted via the nationwide participation platform Mein.berlin.de of the State of Berlin. If the use of my.berlin.de is not possible, project ideas can also be submitted by email or by post. Ideas that arose at short notice can also be presented directly at the citizens' meeting.

Further information on the project submission and the adapted procedure of the Kiezkassen can be found on Mein.berlin.de and on the website of the district office Treptow-Köpenick under the keyword Kiezkassen. The KiezPate Sascha Lawrenz and the deputy neighborhood Irina Vogt are available for questions at the Kiezkasse-johannisthal@ba-tk.berlin.de email address.

It is important that citizens bring their ideas and take part in the citizens' meeting in order to decide together about how the cash funds in Johannisthal should be used. The neighborhood sponsors Sascha Lawrenz and Irina Vogt are happy about a lively participation and submitting creative project ideas.
