Healthy cities: Tempelhof-Schöneberg invites you to walk together

A joint action by the regional network of Berlin in the Healthy Cities Network offers numerous low-threshold walks in Tempelhof-Schöneberg in spring 2024. The aim of the campaign days in April and May 2024 is to draw attention to the diverse walking offers in the district as well as the positive effects of walking for well-being and social interaction. The starting shot will be given on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, with a moving walk at the Cheruskerpark.

There will be a compilation of free open walks in the district during the campaign period in the Tempelhof town hall and in the senior citizens' leisure facilities to take away. In addition, the list is also available as a PDF file on the website of the healthy city network. In addition, interested parties have the opportunity to get to know regular walking groups and take part in special activities during the campaign days.

This year's program includes a city natural exploration, walks for members of people with dementia, mobility-supported walks and a tour along a so-called "Green Hauptweg" from Berlin.

District City Councilor Oliver Schworck for youth and health emphasizes the importance of movement outdoors together with other people for health, social isolation and loneliness. The district has therefore supported the construction of walking groups since 2022, whereby the association BWGT e.V. offers training for interested walking companions and helps with the foundation of groups.
