Funding for volunteering in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district

This year, voluntary activities to improve public infrastructure in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district can be supported. The Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing has made the district available for 77,500 euros outside of the neighborhood management areas. District Mayor Jörn Oltmann emphasized the importance of volunteering for cohesion in the neighborhood. Interested parties and non -profit -oriented social initiatives are eligible to apply. The goal is to upgrade or improve public infrastructure facilities in the neighborhood.

The funds can be applied for for schools, daycare centers, meeting places, senior leisure facilities, sports and green areas as well as public roads and squares. Up to 3,500 euros per project can be applied for for required materials such as materials for renovation or plantings. The application is informally possible and requires the specification of purpose, type, time frame and costs of the project.
