The work of rescue and emergency services is often taken granted, although there are increasingly attacks by police officers, firefighters and paramedics. Such incidents also occurred in Tempelhof-Schöneberg. The district office therefore wants to thank the people in uniform for their work and bring them closer.

District Mayor Jörn Oltmann emphasizes that it is important to counter the rescue and emergency services respect and recognition. He invites the population to thank him together with him for their daily commitment to the well -being of the population.

In addition to the expressions of thanks, a review of New Year's Eve is also given and presented which measures were implemented before the turn of the year to improve the handling of fireworks. These include neighborhoods from the fire brigade and events for young people in cooperation with the police and fire brigade.

Following the award ceremony, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas while eating and drinks are served. In order to provide sufficient seats, food and drinks, registration will be requested to the volunteer office by November 24, 2023.
