BSR Kieztag in Rieflerstrasse: free bulky waste levy and exchange market
The BSR, Berlin's city cleaning, offers residents of Rieflerstraße 1-5 in Berlin the opportunity to emit bulky waste, electrical devices and old textiles free of charge. In addition, there is an exchange and gift market where you can pass on old items or discover new treasures. Objects that have not been sold are handed over to the “still”, the used goods carpate in Reinickendorf.
This mobile service serves as a supplement to the regular bulky waste collection and the BSR recycling stations and offers the citizens of Tempelhof-Schöneberg the opportunity to clear out their basements and attics. The aim is also to prevent illegal garbage deposits in public space.
The BSR Kieztagen are a measure to improve the cleanliness in the districts of Berlin and at the same time strengthen awareness of environmentally friendly disposal options. It is important that the citizens have access to simple and inexpensive disposal options to keep the city clean and worth living.
In the following table, some facts for waste disposal and recycling in Berlin are listed:
| Type of garbage | Disposal option |
| ————— | ———————— |
| Bulky waste | Submission at BSR |
| Electrical devices | Submission at BSR |
| Alt textiles | Submission at BSR |
| Paper waste | Collection by BSR |
| Bio -waste | Biotonne |
It can be seen how the BSR found innovative ways to support the citizens in waste disposal and at the same time promote awareness of recycling and reuse. It is to be hoped that such initiatives will help to make the cities cleaner and sustainable.
