Telekom strengthens mobile network in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel

A fresh wind for the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel! Finally the time has come! Telekom has strongly advanced mobile phone expansion in the region and proudly presents the latest progress that will revolutionize digital communication.

In just two months, a new mobile phone location in Salzwedel was created, which not only improves mobile phone cover in the entire region, but also ensures that the reception in the four walls is now even more stable. The days of unwanted radio spots are therefore a thing of the past!

The details of the expansion

With this new location, the number of Telekom locations in the Altmark district increases to impressive 48! This means that over 99 percent of households are now well cared for. Whether streaming, surfing or making calls - users can look forward to a first -class connection. And the best? A further 28 locations are being planned by 2026, while the modernization of nine radio masts with LTE or even the lightning-fast 5G network is already on the way!

But growth is no coincidence. Georg von Wagner, the company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, emphasizes: "The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion!" This statement shows that Telekom will continue to invest in the future with full strength.

How is the whole thing possible? Telekom needs the support of the municipalities and owners to secure the necessary areas for the new locations.
