Telekom checks legal steps against Höcke statement
Deutsche Telekom has rejected an assertion by the AfD politician Björn Höcke regarding an alleged earlier advertising slogan of the company and examines legal steps. During a TV duel, Höcke claimed that Telekom used the sentence "Everything for Germany" as an advertising saying a few years ago, which the company described as wrong. Telekom took legal steps against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel last year after making similar wrong statements about the advertising slogan. Weidel was asked to refrain from what she agreed.
The sentence mentioned is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will have to answer for the allegation of using indicators in Halle next week in Halle. Höcke defended his choice of words in the TV duel and said that during the speech he did not know that it was a SA slogan, but thought it was a "common saying".
Telekom emphasized its distance to such false claims and actively defends itself. Telekom does not leave the deal with Höcke and others who make incorrect statements about the company. With a view to the sensitivity of the topic, Telekom emphasizes its responsibility in dealing with the culture of remembrance and rejects any connections to anti -constitutional slogans.
