Technical problem forces aircraft on the way to BER Airport to stop in Paris

An airplane that was on the way from Lisbon to BER Airport in Berlin had to stop in Paris on Monday morning. The reason for this was a technical Problem on board, in which the smell of smoking was found in the business class. The company TAP Air Portugal confirmed that the flight TP-538 had to be redirected to Orly Airport.

The plane started in Lisbon at 8.35 a.m. and was about the airspace of Paris about an hour and a half later, when the problems occurred. The machine changed the direction of flight at 9.17 a.m. and landed in Paris Orly a short time later. The passengers were taken off there and according to Tap Air Portugal, they are all well. The company also announced that passengers' trip to Berlin will continue during the day.

On Tuesday, most of the passengers will fly from Paris-Orly to Berlin with their own direct flight. However, some passengers were rebooked to other airlines because Berlin is not the final goal of their trip.

The technical problem led to a stopover in Paris, although the real destination of the aircraft was ber. The plane was certainly landed in Paris Orly and the passengers are well. The trip to Berlin will continue during the day, either with a separate direct flight from TAP Air Portugal or with other airlines for those whose final goal is not Berlin.
