The suspects after Raub at the Kottbusser Tor underground station arrested: young people injured, BVG employee is only barely due

The Berlin police arrested two suspects after a robbery at the Kottbusser Tor underground station in Berlin-Kreuzberg. As the police announced on Wednesday, the attack occurred on Tuesday evening at around 8 p.m. One of the alleged perpetrators attacked a 17-year-old adolescent and hit his head several times. Then he tore a chain off the sacrifice and stolen money from his shoulder bag. The BVG security personnel came to the aid shortly afterwards when another accomplice pushed the 32-year-old BVG employee towards the platform edge. However, the BVG employee was able to save himself in time by sticking to a sign. According to the police, the entrance train would otherwise have recorded the employee directly.

The two suspects, 25 and 23 years old, were arrested. The 17-year-old adolescent suffered several injuries in the attack and was taken to a hospital.

Such raids are unfortunately not uncommon in large cities like Berlin. In this case, however, the police reacted quickly and arrested the two suspects. It is important that attacks such as this are consistently pursued and the perpetrators are held responsible. This is the only way to ensure that the population is security. In addition, prevention measures should also be taken to prevent such acts. It is advisable to always pay attention to its surroundings in public transport and in heavily frequented places.

The police are now investigating to uncover possible backgrounds of the raid. It remains to be hoped that the perpetrators will be appropriately punished and that such incidents can be avoided in the future. The security of the citizens should be a top priority.
