Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Deutschland - On July 16, 2025, a festival was held in the Steakhouse Hazienda Mariendorf in honor of the volunteers in Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Tim Richter, the deputy district mayor and social councilor, came to thank the numerous committed people for their valuable work. The event was organized by the Office for Social Affairs, which currently employs 332 volunteers who are involved in various areas.

The volunteers lead leisure groups, support in the café, take on housekeeping tasks, congratulate anniversaries and help in the soup kitchen. The long -standing employees who were honored for their services were particularly emphasized. This affects, for example, those who have been active for 10, 15, 20, 25 and even 40 years.
