The mobile phone supply has made a great jump forward! Telekom has worked tirelessly in the past two months to raise communication for the citizens of Barnim to a new level. With the construction of a new location and the modernization of two more to 5G, Telekom ensures that the residents are now well networked everywhere in the region!
The new high-technology transmitters are in the cities of Breydin, Britz and Schorfheide. Particularly important: The location in Britz plays a key role for passengers on the Brandenburg-Nord-Berlin railway line. Contactless surfing, lightning -fast charging of pictures and videos - everything is now easier!

"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year," said Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom. And that is exactly why Telekom is really pressing on the gas when expanding the mobile phone! Now there are already 96 locations that ensure almost 100 percent budget cover in the Barnim district. But that's not enough: by 2026, proud 27 other locations should be added! And the best thing about it? There are also 26 planned extensions with LTE or 5G on existing radio masts!
Telekom is dependent on cooperation with the municipalities in order to find suitable areas for the new locations.
