Successful certification: Music school Spandau recognized as healthy music school®
The Spandau music school recently received the coveted certificate as a "Healthy Music School®". On an action day on the topic of "Fit with music", the award was given in the presence of the deputy mayor and district councilor for education, culture, sport and facility management, Dr. Carola Brückner, presented. The “Healthy Music School®” project has existed since 2009 and is offered by the International Music Academy Schloss Kapfenburg and funded by the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK). The goal is to integrate the knowledge of musician medicine and music physiology into a practical integration into music school lessons and prevent health stress.
The Spandau music school has now fulfilled the basic criteria of a "healthy music school®" by qualifying contact persons for the health of musicians, passing on music physiological basics to the college and performing a public action in the subject area "Fitmitmusik". In her speech, the district councilor Dr. Carola Brückner of the music school and emphasized the importance of making music for the physical, emotional and cognitive development of the musicians.
Certification as a "Healthy Music School®" shows the commitment of the Spandau music school for the health and well -being of its students. This focus on health promotion is of great importance, especially in the present day, in which the pressure and the stress on young people increase. The integration of music -physiological basics in the classroom can not only prevent physical complaints, but also strengthen awareness of your own health and the importance of prevention.
