The district councils in Spandau give the residents the opportunity to actively participate in the design of the district. On June 26, 2024, under-21-year-olds and over 60-year-olds have the opportunity to submit up to two inquiries or applications. Interested parties can participate as individuals or organized as groups, school classes or leisure clubs. Applications or inquiries must be submitted to the district leader by Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The topics must include district issues and be formulated as request or question. One reason is advantageous to describe the concern in more detail.In the BVV meeting on June 26, 2024, the authors receive the right to speak of applications or inquiries. The speaking time is a maximum of five minutes per application or request. Request will be discussed later in the specialist committees such as applications from the political groups. The district office must submit a status report to implement the assumed request within ten weeks.
The answering of inquiries is carried out orally in the BVV session. If a written answer is requested, the district office has three weeks. These measures are intended to promote citizen participation and strengthen transparency in district policy.
