Safety measures on July 1: Citizen counseling temporarily blocked!

On July 1, 2025, the Hoffest of the Governing Mayor of Berlin will take place in the Red City Hall, which requires special security measures. According to the State of Berlin's press and information office, media representatives must be present at the side entrance of the town hall in Jüdenstrasse at 12.30 p.m. in order to be managed to the press conference at 1 p.m. Registration for the press conference is necessary via a registration form by July 1, 2025, 10 a.m. Access to the press conference is only possible with a confirmed registration by the press and information office.

In the period from June 26 to July 3, 2025, access to citizen counseling will not be possible due to closures around the red town hall. During this period, however, citizens can request support on (030) 9026-2020.

The goal of the summit was the strengthening of the security organs and improving the security situation in Berlin. In this way, essential issues of public security, the improvement of working conditions for emergency services and measures against organized crime were discussed

A measure of measures with 30 focuses was published, which set specific measures to increase security in places such as the Görlitzer Park in Kreuzberg and Leopoldplatz in Mitte. The agreement on specific steps shows that those responsible are determined to sustainably improve the security situation in the city.

The security summit promoted a continuous dialogue between the various responsible actors in order to proactively address the challenges of public security. The agreed measures should not only offer short -term solutions, but also develop long -term strategies for stability and security in Berlin.
