workplace cuts on a large scale
The planned measures affect 505 jobs that are to be deleted. Another 207 jobs are moved to other locations, while 78 new jobs are to be created. "We want to set up even more cost -efficient in the continuing competitive market environment and encounter the changes in beverage logistics," commented Tilmann Rothhammer, Managing Director Customer Service & Supply Chain at CCEP. In Cologne, Coca-Cola operates both a production and a logistics site, while in the other four cities only logistics locations are affected.
The largest beverage manufacturer in Germany under pressure
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners is the largest beverage manufacturer in Germany and employs around 6,500 people at a total of 27 locations, including 14 production facilities. Despite this size and market power, the company is forced to take measures to remain competitive in a highly competitive market environment. "We are aware that the planned changes are very painful for the employees concerned. It is all the more important to us to implement all intended changes socially responsibly and transparently," added Rothhammer.
