anniversary celebration of the Reinickendorf senior citizen orchestra: tradition and community in focus

On September 3, 2024, an impressive concert by the Reinickendorf senior citizens' orchestra took place in the Ernst Reuter-Hall. In view of the upcoming 50th anniversary in 2025, the ensemble under the direction of Günter Krause and Yukari Ishimoto not only gave a musical performance, but also a strong sign of the role of community projects in district life.

The two soprano Gabriele Scheibecker and Kristina Gordadze made the hall sound with their powerful voices. Her performance ensured a special atmosphere and emphasized the importance of cultural events for the older generation. District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) was enthusiastic: "The vigor of the musician is inspiring, and it proudly fulfills me that we can support this ensemble."

The event is part of the "Kulturtreff" series, which was specially designed for the older citizens of Reinickendorf. These initiatives not only strengthen cultural life, but also promote social cohesion in the community. The Seniors department has started a comprehensive advertising campaign to make the upcoming concerts known.
