campaign to avoid waste: "Clean Reinickendorf" makes progress

In the Reinickendorf district, the "Clean Reinickendorf - Reinickendorf cleans cleans out" is revived. This project not only focuses on the cleanliness of the quarter, but also on bringing the community together and finding creative solutions for dealing with waste.

The upcoming series of events offers residents the opportunity to exchange and give away unused items. Not only space is created in your own home, but also a contribution to waste prevention. According to City Councilor Korinna Stephan from the Greens, this campaign promotes dialogue among neighbors and sensitizes the responsible handling of our common habitat. "We want to talk to each other about the neighborhood," she says.

  • Friday, September 13, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Mellerbogen, Wendekreis Engelmannweg
  • Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the intercultural neighborhood garden "Betettinchen", Treuenbrietzener Straße 32
  • Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Ziekowstraße 114
  • Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tegernauer line

In addition to the exchange of goods, a quiz for waste separation is also offered, which tests the knowledge of the participants about the correct handling of waste and thus contributes to clarification.

These events are organized by the neighborhood management and local actors in Reinickendorf and is made possible by funding from the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment as part of the "Clean City" campaign program.
