according to a report by www.berlin.de plans to mark one New cycling lanes in Konradshöher Straße between Waldkauzstraße and Heiligenseestrasse. The work is carried out by Possehl Specialbau GmbH. The responsible district councilor for order, environment and transport, Julia Schrod-Thiel (CDU), states that the work is expected to begin in the 44th calendar week and continue until the end of November 2023.
During the marking work, the roadway will be closed to ensure traffic. Bus traffic and access to the bus stops will not be impaired, as will the accessibility for fire and rescue vehicles.
The access to the Tegeler Forest site will partially be impaired during the construction work. The district councilor asks the residents and road users for understanding possible restrictions and difficulties during the construction work.
The marking of the new cycling strip in Konradshöher Straße is a positive initiative to improve the security for cyclists. Berlin increasingly relies on the expansion of the wheel infrastructure to increase the proportion of cycling in overall traffic and thus improve the environmental and traffic situation in the city. The new cycle path connection will make bicycle use in Reinickendorf more attractive and help to reduce traffic noise and air pollution in the area.
