Japanese delegation is enthusiastic about Reinickendorf's modern civil services!
A top -class delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently visiting Berlin, invited by the Federal Minister of the Interior. The focus of the stay is the exchange of specialist knowledge and the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the field of modern security and administrative processes. A highlight of the trip was to visit the citizens' office in the Reinickendorf town hall, where district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) presented the guests innovative procedures for applying for and issuing personnel documents, such as berlin.de reported.
Especially the advanced technologies, such as self-service terminals and document spending boxes that make the citizen service efficiently, received great recognition. The Japanese delegation was fascinated by the mobile citizens' office, which is previously unknown in Japan, and emphasized how such solutions can shorten the processing times and improve customer service. "A national and international exchange is extremely important," says Demirbüken-Wegner, who with this impression underlined the importance of the innovations shown.
