Fox sculptures for Reinickendorf: Artists wanted to design

The Reinickendorf district plans a marketing campaign to make the heraldic animal of the district, the fox, more present in the public. To this year, 1.30 m large fox sculptures are to be set up at various locations in the district. The sculptures are financed with funds from the Berlin City Tax and should bring visitors closer to the identity of the district.

There are currently 19 blanks made of smooth -ground fiber optic resin resin, which are still white. In order to make the fox sculptures artistically, the district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner Reinickendorf artists have called for artists to submit designs for a colorful design of the foxes. An independent body, which the district mayor will also belong, will decide on the best design variants.

The deadline for the designs is March 3, 2024. The designs can be submitted by post or by email. A reasonable fee is provided for the selected artists.

For the design of the design and further information, interested parties can request the templates to the business development agency or send the designs directly to the Reinickendorf district office. If you have any questions, Ms. Kretlow from business development is available.

This campaign is a unique opportunity for local artists to present their art in public space and help shape the identity of the district. The fox sculptures are expected to become an attractive tourist feature of the district and could also enrich the cultural life on site. The campaign thus helps to support the local artists and to strengthen the public perception of the district.
