Dedicated women: Joint garbage collection on the Schäfersee

On April 16, district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner and entrepreneurs from the "Reinickendorfer Ladies Lunch" network met for a garbage collection campaign on Lake Schäfer. Despite the rainy weather, the committed participants did not prevent them from becoming active together. The idea for the campaign came about at the regular meetings of the entrepreneurial network, in which the wish was expressed to work together for the public.

The district mayor emphasized the importance of putting the committed women of the network in the spotlight and thereby generating more attention to their work. In response to this impulse, several entrepreneurs registered for the garbage collection campaign. Their goal was not only to make public space cleaner, but also to motivate other groups to become active and take responsibility for their environment.

The campaign was very well received and was seen as a success by the participants and the district mayor. A follow -up date has already been agreed to maintain the positive dynamics and plan further actions.

It can be seen how committed citizens and local political managers stand together for a cleaner and more livable environment. Such actions can help to raise awareness of environmental problems and to strengthen the community. It remains to be hoped that other groups and individuals will join this example and make their contribution to environmental protection.

In a table, for example, information about the amount of garbage collected, the number of people involved and similar statistics could be listed in order to illustrate the scope and effects of the action. Such concrete data makes the importance of the garbage collection even more tangible and can encourage others to also work for a cleaner environment.
