A straw warehouse with around 500 hay bales caught fire in Flatow in the district of Oberhavel early Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025. The police reported on the spectacular smoke development, which was visible up to the A24 motorway between Kremmen and the Linumer Bruch rest area. The fire started around 2:40 a.m. and led to visible visibility on the highway at noon.

The fire brigade moved in with a total of 19 emergency vehicles to extinguish the fire.
