Hamburg, September 10, 2024-The exciting preparations for the pop musical & Julia have started and promise to enrich the city's cultural life sustainably. The premiere will take place on October 30th in the Stage Operettenhaus and the entire theater community looks at this event full of excitement. The musical, which was previously able to shine in world metropolises such as London, New York, Canada, Australia and Singapore
The concept of this musical is unique. It tells the story of the famous Julia, who makes the decision to actively live her life after the death of her lover Romeo instead of being guided by grief. This realignment questions the old action and offers space for new interpretations and emotions. Chiara Fuhrmann, who embodies the role of Julia in the performance, commented enthusiastically: "The rehearsal start is always something very special - the energy in the room is simply noticeable! I can hardly wait to tell the story of Julia together with my colleague."
Over 30 talented actors: inside and a committed creative team are responsible for the staging. The renowned Swedish music producer Max Martin , known for his numerous number 1 hits, will contribute the music and thus ensures an entertaining sound experience. The famous pop anthems that are integrated into the show include "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson and "Roar" Katy Perry. These melodies will not only accompany the plot, but also help to touch the audience emotionally.
parallel to the rehearsals in the Kehrwieder Theater, the technical preparation is carried out in the operetta house, where an impressive stage design is installed within just nine days. With many details, including a rotary stage and the famous Julia balcony, an authentic atmosphere is created to pull the audience in the middle of the action. Four days of intensive technical samples also guarantee that the interaction of light, video and sound can be optimally coordinated.
The importance of this performance goes beyond mere entertainment. Musicians and actors bring a breath of fresh air to the theater landscape and strengthen the sense of community in Hamburg.
