Yesterday was not an ordinary day for Rainer Semet! The member of the Bundestag accepted the invitation of the Federation of German Baumschulen (BDB) e.V. and attended the renowned Gartenfachbetrieb Bräuninger in his constituency. As part of the “Practice for Politics” project, he completed an impressive one -day “internship”. Here he was up close when important topics in the tree school industry were discussed.

Theo Bräuninger is enthusiastic: "It was encouraging to see that Mr. Semet has an open ear for our concerns. I am excited to see what ideas he will take with us. Together we can move a lot!"

Marko Glivarec, a gardener from the tree nursery, as well as BDB general manager Markus Guhl, Semet led through the various quarters and brought him close to the current political issues in the industry. Semet, who acts as a chairman in the committee for living and urban development, was the right contact with regard to central topics - including dealing with pests in nurseries.
