Perpetrators steal and burn solidarity flag in front of town hall - Berlin confirms support for Israel and Jewish community.

previously unknown perpetrators on Saturday, October 14, 2023, around 8:15 p.m., who stolen in front of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf town hall on Alice Salomon-Platz. They then tried to burn the flag at some distance, but were prevented from a witness to extinguish the fire. The police then secured the damaged flag. (Source: www.berlin.de )

As a Berlin citizen, I find it shocking and unfortunate that such a cowardly did in our city. The disturbance of public peace and the offense against acceptance and respect for other people are unacceptable. The living flag stands for the memory of the victims and solidarity with the Jewish fellow citizens and the population in Israel.

It is important that the district has filed a complaint and the damaged flag has been secured. It is a sign of unity and solidarity that the flag was raised again to show the support for the Jewish community and Israel.
