"Artists in Residence: Berlin and Die" - a bridge between cultures and landscapes

The exhibition "Artists in Residence: Berlin and Die", which on 4. September 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Museum Lichtenberg, not only offers an insight into the art of two talented artists, but also emphasizes the importance of cultural exchange programs. This event takes place in Lichtenberg Studios, Türrschmidtstraße 24, 10317 Berlin, and can be found until 17. November 2024 . Admission is free and the opening times are from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The works of stéphanie cailleau and pia linz are in the sign of creative examination of their surroundings. In her work, Cailleau draws a fascinating parallel between a sprayer and the Claytonia Perfoliata plant, also known as an ordinary plate herb. It describes how the scattering of the plant seeds on the clothes of the sprayer him,

unintentional, made a gardener. Her poem, which she attached to some of her spray signs, illustrates this connection and shows how art not only seems visually, but also conceptually and narrative.

On the other hand, Pia Linz has captured the natural landscape of the region around that in France using watercolor painting. Her small, color -like dense work offer a look at the beauty of the landscape she has perceived, without any lines or contours. This technique enables it to present the emotions and impressions that nature exercised on it.

The Artist-in Residence program, which has existed between the Lichtenberg Studios and the Diereesidence in France since 2018, plays a central role in promoting cultural exchange. The Lichtenberg Studios, a project of the Intervention Berlin e.V. in cooperation with the district office Lichtenberg, not only offer studio apartments, but also organize artists' talks, discussions, lectures and film screenings. These large number of activities support both the artists and the local community and contribute to cultural enrichment in Berlin.

The upcoming exhibition will therefore not only make the personal artistic development of Cailleau and Linz visible, but also emphasize the importance of the exchange between different cultures. Such initiatives are essential to promote understanding, inspiration and creative impulses across geographical and cultural borders.

By opening the exhibition "Artists in Residence: Berlin and the" exhibition, visitors are given the opportunity to experience the creative processes of the two artists up close and to actively deal with the topics of art, nature and intercultural exchange.
