Climate Festival 2024: A wave of change in construction!

Berlin becomes the setting of a revolutionary event! From November 21 to 22, everyone who works in construction will meet to look together in the future. The "Climate Festival for the Construction turnaround" in the iconic station Berlin promises exciting insights and innovative ideas for sustainable development in the construction industry.

With a focus on raw materials, circular economy and the use of AI in architecture, numerous lectures and workshops are on the program. The construction of the future comes alive here, because experts from different areas show how real estate planning, construction and operation have to be considered.

The festival offers an abundance of inspiring events on both days. There is a lot to discover from topics such as energy -efficient construction, greening of buildings and innovative solutions in rainwater management. A highlight of the first evening will be the awarding of the prestigious Heinze Architecture Akard, in which sustainable construction projects are recognized.

The prestigious architect and author Carlo Ratti, who is a curator for the 19th architectural biennale in 2025, is one of the top -class architect and author. He will show how architecture and technology can be used in the fight against climate change. Lehmbau expert Anna Heringer, climate activist Louisa Schneider and meteorologist Karsten Schwanke are also expected. A total of 22 associations from the construction and real estate industry present themselves as initiative partners, including the German Society for Sustainable Building, which comes up with two modules for building certification.

A particularly explosive topic is dealt with in the workshop of the Association of Building in the existing: "CO2 Reality Check - Greenwashing or real sustainability?" This is about uncovering the main causes of CO2 emissions in construction and developing tangible solutions to promote honest sustainability.

The climate festival takes place in Luckenwalder Straße 4-6 in Berlin, in the immediate vicinity of the Gleisdreieck underground station.
