Jan Redmann: New leadership culture for confidence in Brandenburg
Brandenburg future: spirit of optimism as a key to change
In the coming weeks, the political landscape of Brandenburg will be decisively shaped when the voters emit their vote on September 22. The focus is particularly on Jan Redmann, the top candidate of the CDU, who strives for a fundamental change in leadership culture. He sees the need to restore the trust of citizens in politics in order to promote a positive development of the federal state.
Redmann expressed on Monday evening in the RBB program "Your Plan for Brandenburg" that it was urgently needed to create an atmosphere of optimism. His goal is to motivate the population and to give them the feeling that they can actively contribute to the design of the future. "There is the potential in us to make the coming years successfully, be it in business, education or internal security," he emphasized.
A central element of his argument is the idea of an active leadership that not only reacts but is proactively. "A Prime Minister has to act as a model and create a positive mood in the country," continued Redmann, while he highlighted the importance of such a vision for the people in Brandenburg.
A crucial topic that will also be important in the upcoming elections are the possible coalitions that could come about after the election. Redmann in particular criticized the position of the BSW, which opposes the expansion of Bundeswehr locations. "This is a question of prison. If we want to increase the security of Germany, we have to overcome this political barrier," said Redmann, pointing out the need for a solid infrastructure and effective civil defense.
In addition, Redmann commented on possible hurdles in coalition negotiations, especially with regard to the Greens, with which implementation of many CDU goals could be difficult. For example, reforms in the Police Act or an earlier grading in schools are points that are controversial between the parties.
Another point that Redmann clarified is the complete rejection of cooperation with extremists, especially the AfD, which in his view is unable to offer practical solutions for the challenges of the citizens. "We must not endanger the economic prosperity on which so many jobs in Brandenburg are dependent," he said.
The upcoming elections are not only an exam sample for the CDU and Jan Redmann, but also an opportunity for the citizens of Brandenburg to actively participate in the design of their future. Redmann's call to the spirit of optimism gives hope for a cooperative and future -oriented politics based on the needs of people.
