Hob-Prize: Promotion of movement at schools-Oesterholz primary school and Seäckerschule win main prizes

On the memory of Horst Brandstätter, the founder of Playmobil, the non-profit Foundation for Children's Promotion of Playmobil advertised the Hob-Prize named after him last year. Two main award-winning schools were selected, the Oesterholz primary school in Dortmund and the special education and advisory center Seeäckerschule in Calw. Both schools convinced the jury with its motion concepts and its ability to pass them on to other schools.

The Oesterwood elementary school was particularly praised for its comprehensive and practical movement activities. The school encourages all students to move, with sports -specific offers only make up part of them. The appealing presentation of the school aroused great curiosity and interest.

The Seäckerschule has a balanced overall concept that enables sufficient exercise and at the same time promotes awareness of healthy lifestyle. This concept is easy to implement and has an exemplary effect on other schools.

In addition to the two main prices, a further 20 prizes of 7,500 euros each were awarded at primary and special schools for interesting movement concepts. The jury was impressed by the enthusiasm and zest for action of the schools to implement new innovative and contemporary actions and programs.

The Playmobil Foundation was founded in 1995 by Horst Brandstätter, the owner of the Horst Brandstätter Group, which also includes the Playmobil brand. The foundation is committed to enabling children and adolescents to have healthy physical, mental and mental development and is focused on education, activity, creativity and culture.
