Nursing training: keep young talents!

The alarming situation in the care industry beats waves! In view of the urgent shortage of skilled workers in Germany, the state urgently needs to act. It is becoming increasingly clear: to win young people for nursing training is the key to keeping the system going. But the reality looks bleak! The training numbers stagnate at an unacceptable level.

Every third trainee fails in nursing! What are the reasons for this sad record? A lack of support in practice and at school are two large stumbling blocks. The committed practice instructors and teachers often do not have the necessary time to respond to the individual needs of the trainees. The legally prescribed practice instructions must be implemented across the board and with all seriousness!

unsustainable conditions in nursing training

Richard Rother, member of the Federal Executive Board of Ver.di, warns: "Removing the 200-page report is not enough! We need deeds, no shoulder tapping!" It makes it clear that the proportion of practical instructions in the nursing profession must be increased to at least 30 percent in order to remedy the training emergency. The need for action is obvious - the future of care is on the brink!

The numbers speak volumes: A constant ups and downs in the number of training shows that real solutions are required. The federal government and the care facilities must pull together to improve the training for nursing students. The first step is to arouse interest, but without the right support, many will give up.

The topic of nursing training must be given the top priority, because every non -completed training course is a loss for society. It is high time for a comprehensive reform of nursing training! This is the only way to get the necessary specialist personnel to the industry before it is too late.

stay tuned - the developments in nursing training are crucial for our society!
