Thunderstorms, heavy rain and gusts of wind: changeable weather weekend in Berlin and Brandenburg
Berlin and Brandenburg are haunted by thunderstorms and heavy rain at the weekend. The German Weather Service (DWD) pointed out in a message on Friday that the day will be rainy at first, but will alternate with short sunny sections during the day.
In the further course of the day, showers and local thunderstorms can be expected that can go hand in hand with heavy rain, wind gusts and hail. The maximum temperatures will be between 23 and 26 degrees. At night it remains cloudy and occasionally it can rain. The temperatures drop to values between 15 and 17 degrees.
Saturday morning will also be shaped by showers and thunderstorms, locally there can be heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail. The temperatures are between 24 and 27 degrees. It initially rains locally in the night of Sunday, but during the course of the night the rain slowly subsides. The temperatures fall on values between 14 and 16 degrees.
For Sunday, the DWD predicts changing to strong clouds, accompanied by local showers. In the afternoon, thunderstorms are occasionally possible. The maximum values are between 22 and 25 degrees. At night there is regional rain, with low values between 12 and 15 degrees.
It is recommended to exercise caution when thunderstorms and heavy rain. Especially outdoors you should be in protected places and avoid wet or flooded areas.
