Nowhere-environmental education center cooperates with VHS Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

The nowhere-environmental education center and cultural location in the Wriezen Park has started a new cooperation with the adult education center (VHS) in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Since this year they have been offering additional dates and offers in the field of natural, environmental, climate and sustainability formation (NUKN). Interested parties can book special offers under the keyword "nowhere". One focus is on climate formation, in particular the topics of biodiversity, city nature and climate adaptation measures. The events and offers of the environmental education center aim to illustrate the connections between biodiversity in the city nature, climate, other climate -relevant topics and the health of residents in the city. Participants have the opportunity to experience and understand these relationships up close through tours in the park and practical workshops for creating nesting aids for insects and birds or for climate -friendly beds and balconies.

The partnership between the nowhere and the VHS is an important step to promote environmental education and awareness of ecological topics in Berlin. Due to the variety of events offered, the participants can expand their knowledge and discover concrete options for environmental protection in their own living environment.

In this context, it is also interesting to mention that the Wriezen Park has a long history and, as a green oasis, plays an important role in the city in the middle of the city. The cooperation between the VHS does not help to strengthen the awareness of the importance of green spaces in urban areas and to sensitize the citizens to the protection of nature on their doorstep.
