An exciting day for the little ones in Friedrichshain! The newly designed including game landscape on Krautstraße corner Lange Strasse has finally opened! After months of construction work, children of all ages can now try out the fantastic offers that were specially created for them.

Here the little adventurers can expect a huge, cross -road play area - completely under the motto "Travel to distant galaxies"! From the very first moment, the kids can go to an exploration tour in unknown worlds. What fun!

It is particularly noteworthy that the game landscape was designed barrier -low. Children with and without physical restrictions can romp together and play together without barriers that could cloud the fun. In 2023 the first part was inaugurated for the little ones, and now larger children can also enjoy the new play area!

This successful redesign is the result of a participation process in which the wishes of children, young people and residents have been included in the planning. District Mayor Clara Herrmann is enthusiastic: "We thus promote inclusion and ensure that all children can play integratively." A step in the right direction for friendly and open cooperation!

Annika Gerold, the district councilor for traffic, green spaces, order and environment, emphasizes the importance of such playgrounds for the health of the children: “In our densely populated district, only a few have their own garden. This game landscape thus becomes a green oasis, which enables all children to grow up!”

The entire project doesn't even have a small price - a whopping 904,000 euros fins from the program Sustainable renewal. This implements another decision of the district assembly: a barrier -free playground in Friedrichshain. In the future, a redesign of Krautstraße will create a child -friendly pedestrian zone and combine both playgrounds. This fulfills several ecological goals, such as greening and rainwater infiltration.

This opening is not just a milestone for the inclusive game design, but a real win for the entire neighborhood! The children can now play carefree and enjoy life in Friedrichshain to the fullest!
